It was on Monday, January 16 when actor-television host Vhong Navarro returned to It’s Showtime. He last appeared on the show on September 2022 before he surrendered to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) after Taguig Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 116 issued a warrant of arrest in connection with acts of lasciviousness filed by model Deniece Cornejo.

On the afternoon of September 19, 2022, he was detained at the NBI facility after a Taguig court issued an arrest warrant for him in connection with a r*ape case filed by Cornejo. He was transferred to Taguig City Jailn November 21, 2022. He was temporarily released on bail (P1 million) on December 6, 2022.

Among those who couldn’t contain his happiness following the return of Navarro on It’s Showtime is no less than his co-host Vice Ganda. But according to Cristy Fermin, the comedian was trying to steal the limelight of Vhong’s return to It’s Showtime.
