On December 4, 2022, Matet went to Instagram wherein she reacted to the gourmet tuyo of her mother because it directly opposed her business. “Would you do this to your children? HONOR THY FATHER AND MOTHER. HOW? how can I do that now? Ay, AMPON PALA AKO,” she asked.

Matet is the adopted daughter of Nora and the latter’s ex-husband, Christopher de Leon.

The former child star revealed someone told her that she should just be a reseller of her mother’s product. But Matet explained, she and her husband, Mickey Estrada, worked hard developing their own product and eventually sell it.

She continued, saying that the mother knew that she had this type of business so she was surprised that she also released a similar product.

“Nung isang gabi, sinabihan ako na na mag resell na lang ng products ng nanay ko. Pinag hihirapan namin ang pagtitinda. Bakit all of a sudden, nagulat na lang ako, naglabas ang nanay ko ng direktang kumpitensya ng produkto ko. Alam niyang may produkto akong ganyan. Marami naman daw akong taping,” she said.

Matet de Leon also asked her followers for advice on what to do now that her own mother is competing with her. Apparently, the comments section of Matet’s post is off so no reaction can be read there. Nora Aunor, the Superstar and National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts has yet to give any reaction on the matter.
