Eraserheads is a Filipino alternative rock band formed in 1989 composed of Ely Buendia, Buddy Zabala, Marcus Adoro, and Raimund Marasigan. Dubbed as “The Beatles of the Philippines”, the band became one of the most influential and successful in the history of Filipino music.

It was on December 22 when the band held a reunion concert at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Parañaque City. Many thought would be the last concert of the band. But the spirit of their fans is rejoicing after Ely himself announced that they will be having a world tour in 2023.

Recently, he went to the social media platform, Instagram wherein he shared that they will have a “World Tour” this coming 2023. The band is expected to visit different places abroad.

Because of Ely’s post, many said that their “Ang Huling el Bimbo” reunion concert won’t be the final gig for the famous Filipino band. Fans all over the world especially from Canada, US and Saudi Arabia are rejoicing over Ely’s announcement. Apparently, other members of Erasherheads have yet to issue any statement regarding their “world tour.”

Meanwhile, according to the organizer of the most recent concert of the band, more or less 75,000 flocked the SMDC grounds to watch their reunion gig. The number of attendees is contrary to the claims of the criticis that the concert was “nilangaw” and tickets were not sold-out.
