Recently, she went to the social media platform, Instagram wherein she showed her birthday gift to her son Miguel as he turns 13.

On IG, she posted a photo of her son, holding the “simple phone” which she gave to Miguel as gift.

“Someone is turning 13 on [October 29 and 27]. He likes ‘having two birthdays’ and got a new, simple phone!” she noted as the caption.

According to her, it was not only Miguel who received a simple phone because all her kids started with simple cellphones.

“All my kids started with simple cellphones! Look how happy he was to finally get one!” she added.

Apparently, the “simple phone” birthday gift of Sharon Cuneta to her son was criticized by some netizens.

Some netizens are skeptical that she gave her son such a phone.

Another netizen claimed that receiving such a simple gift indicates that you are not loved.

But there were those who defended the actress.
