It was just recently when Kuya Kim Atienza went to the social networking site, Facebook wherein he posted “words of wisdom” about fame.

According to Kuya Kim, popularity is fleeting and can fade at any time.

“Fame is so fleeting, so temporary. Ingat sa sinasabi o pinopost pag sikat ka. Baka sa isang taon, di ka na sikat, you will be totally humbled,” he said.

In the comment section, Kuya Kim clarified that his post is just a general reminder for him, his fellow celebrities, and vloggers.

Kuya Kim made the remark amid the issue between celebrity vlogger Zeinab Harake and talent manager Wilbert Tolentino.

But Rendon Labador, a social media personality, disagreed with the remark of Kuya Kim.

According to him, the reason why a lot of celebrities are becoming “laos” is because of such a mindset.

He stressed that being “playing safe” and afraid to make mistakes is more dangerous.

Rendon Labador noted that people wanted to see real and authentic people in this “fake world of social media.”

“Gusto nilang makita yung mga taong nag kakamali din at bumabangon sa mga bawat pag kakamali nila,” he said.

In the last part of his reaction, he reiterated that “authenticity always wins.”

Meanwhile, Rendon Labador rose to fame with his so-called inspirational messages and vlogs on social media.

He previously made rounds online following his basketball challenge with PBA stars. Apparently, it did not push through.
