It was just recently when Pingris challenged Labador to a 1-on-1 basketball game.

This was after Rendon criticized Gilas head coach Chot Reyes. His criticism reached Pingris and prompted the latter to dare him for a basketball match.

Rendon has already accepted the challenge. However, there are no details yet on whether their much-awaited game will push through.

Their possible encounter inside the court has generated reactions from basketball fans and even professional basketball players.

Among those who also challenged Labador to a one-on-one basketball game was Jerwin Gaco, a former PBA player and Davao Occidental Tigers member.

In a video, Gaco said that he won’t beat Pingris because they’re not a match.

“Gusto mo sakin ka nalang lumaban medyo match pa tayo, hindi ako kalakihan, match na match tayo pare,” he said.

“Lalabanan kita kahit saan, ako nalang labanan mo walang problema sakin, magbakasan tayo ng mukha doon, magbangaan tayo walang problema sakin,” he added.

Rendon Labador has yet to give any reaction to the challenge of Gaco.

Meanwhile, the PBA Motoclub will bet 10,000,000 for Gaco in case his face-off with Labador pushes through.

Former PBA player Rico Maierhofer believes that there’s a chance that Labador may win against Gaco compared to Pingris.

He also said that it would be “unfair” for those who are in the basketball community if Pingris was the one who will face Rendon.
