Juanito Jose Diaz Remulla III, the eldest son of Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla was arrested by the anti-drug operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency(PDEA) in Las Piñas City for possession of more than P1 million worth of high-grade marijuana, or “kush”.

He was arrested by PDEA and Ninoy Aquino International Airport Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group which include the units of the Bureau of Customs, the police, and other relevant agencies on Tuesday, October 11, after receiving a parcel containing about 1 kilo of kush with a street value of 1.3 million pesos at a house in BF Resort Village.

Following the arrest of Juanito Jose, some netizens called on for the resignation of the Justice secretary as a courtesy and to ensure an independent investigation and trial, given that he leads the Department of Justice.

This prompted television presenter Ramon Tulfo to defend Boying Remulla.

According to him, the DOJ secretary should not be blamed for what happened to his son.

Here’s the statement of Ramon Tulfo:

As expected, his post was flooded with comments.

Among those who commented is a Facebook user named Laklak Portes.

“Di po siya ordinaryong tao, siya po ay Sec ng Justice, kaya dapat siya mag resign. Nakakahiya po iyan, sarili nyang anak di nya kayang malinis,” he wrote.

However, it seemed that his response was only mocked by the television presenter.

“Hu, nagsalita ang delivery boy! Usapan ng mga intelihenteng tao ito,” he replied.

His response irked netizens, with some defending the “delivery boy.”
