Sangguniang Kabataan is a council in the Philippines that represents the youth in each barangay. Prior to the 2013 barangay elections, it was put “on hold,” but not completely abolished.

The Sangguniang Kabataan is led by the Chairman of the Sangguniang Kabataan. The SK and its programs are supported by a Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) comprised of representatives from various local youth groups.

The Sangguniang Kabataan replaced the Kabataang Barangay, which was abolished by the Local Government Code in 1991.

Earlier, an SK Federation President was arrested by the members of CIDG.

The suspect, identified as Mekhail Khalil Serio Tadifa, 24, also serves on the San Miguel City Council as an ex-officio member.

Tadifa, who is currently detained in CIDG Region 6, will face multiple complaints for allegedly concealing illegal items such as weapons, grenades, and illegal drugs.

Tadifa was once charged with using a weapon against a man who did not adhere to the schedule of a basketball tournament in their city.

He was also caught gambling.

Aside from that, he nearly killed a barangay captain after being chastised for not wearing a face mask.

Netizens, on the other hand, were pleased with Tadifa’s arrest who had been reported a couple of times.

Tadifa has yet to give any statement regarding his arrest.
