Melissa Gohing: “At first, I was scared. Everything went by so fast. It was all a blur.”
MELISSA GOHING — After giving birth to her first child, the former volleyball player recently took to social media to share her birth story.
To recall, it was last October 11 when Rocco Nacino and Melissa Gohing announced on their respective social media accounts that they welcomed their first child, baby Ezren “EZ” Raffaello Gohing Nacino.
Melissa posted photos from her delivery on her social media account and also shared the story of her birth through C-section. According to her, she admitted that she felt scared at first as everything happened to fast.
She shared that she and her husband were supposed to go on a restaurant with her husband’s sister and her family, but her water broke in the parking lot of the mall at that time.

Her husband’s family supported them as they rushed to the hospital. She said that stepping into the delivery room felt “just like the movies” with everything around her seemingly slowing down.
“To be honest, I didn’t know that the anesthesia will make you shiver. I was shaking the whole time and it scared me but when I heard Nico’s voice as he entered the delivery room before ‘Baby Out’ it calmed me down,” she wrote. “After a few minutes, I heard my baby’s cry and it was the most magical moment.“
According to her, their child is a “meconium” baby but otherwise healthy.
She went on to thank her doctors for taking care of her and her baby. Also, she expressed her appreciation for her husband for being there for her every step of the way.
As defined by Healthline, a meconium is a “dark green fecal material” produced in the intestines of a fetus before birth. The newborn baby may pass the stool while still in the uterus wherein it can mix with the amniotic fluid that that surrounds the fetus.
