JEWEL LOBATON – The ex-wife of Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel is currently making a buzz online following her arrest due to estafa.
Lobaton was apprehended in Laoag City over her alleged involvement in an investment scam.
Lobaton was arrested by members of the Batangas Provincial Police Office (PPO) and the Laoag City Police in a hotel due to estafa charges.
Lobaton introduces herself as the producer of a talent agency. She would also say she has links to a party-list group, but she’s actually not represented by any. She also uses the surname of her ex-husband who is a politician to lure her would-be victims.
Lobaton allegedly defrauded the victims, which included government officials, of over P50 million.

Jewel Lobaton is the ex-wife of Senator Koko Pimentel.
It was in January 2018 when the court granted the annulment of their marriage. The former couple decided to split up in 2012.
They have two sons.
After the annulment, Senator Koko Pimentel tied the knot with Kathryna Yu in October 2018.
According to wikicelebs.com, she once served as Chairperson of PDP Cares. She used to manage a catering and restaurant business as well.
It was in the year 1998 when she was crowned as Bb. Pilipinas-Universe.
But Lobaton was actually the first-runner up of the said pageant which took place in Araneta Coliseum.
Olivia Tisha de Carlos Silang won the competition but because of her citizenship issue, she later decided to resign.
Eventually, Jewel Lobaton took over the crown.
