What does the mother of Heart Evangelista have to say about her daughter’s alleged breakup with Sen. Chiz?
HEART EVANGELISTA and CHIZ ESCUDERO – Cecilia Ongpauco, the actress’s mother speaks up on the rumored breakup of her daughter and the senator.
Heart’s showbiz career started when she became a member of ABS-CBN’s Star Circle Batch 9.
She then ventured into acting and became part of the movies like Ang Tanging Ina, Bcuz of U, Mano Po 6: A Mother’s Love, and Temptation Island.
She also landed as a VJ on the MYX music channel
Heart Evangelista is married to Senator-elect Francis “Chiz” Escudero, the outgoing governor of Sorsogon.
They were introduced to each other by Evangelista’s “mentor”, the late senator Miriam Defensor Santiago, who was a close friend of Heart’s mom.
They tied the knot in 2015 in a private ceremony at the Balesin Island Club.
In May 2018, Evangelista and Escudero announced that they are expecting twins. However, she subsequently suffered a miscarriage.
Meanwhile, Heart and Chiz are currently making rounds online following their rumored separation.
Amid their rumored breakup, Cecilia Ongpauco, the actress’s mother feels that whatever difficulties the couple may be experiencing, they will survive them.
“It’s their private life so I am just praying for them,” she told ABS-CBN News. “I know they will be OK! I’ve known Chiz to be a mature and grounded person that’s why I am happy for my daughter.”
However, the mother of the actress clarified that she is unaware of the problems in the couple’s current relationship.
“I have not spoken to anybody,” Ongpauco stressed.
