FAKE ABDUCTION – A woman who claimed that she was almost kidnapped in Naval, Biliran issued a public apology after confessing that the event was all made up, in short… fake.

Abduction cases are getting rampant in the country nowadays. One of the most popular is the case of a 15-year-old cyclist from Bulacan, Princess Marie Dumantay.

Earlier, the 15-year-old cyclist from Bulacan was reported missing.

Days later, the victim was found lifeless in a grassy area at the bypass road in Bustos, Bulacan.

It can be deduced that the victim suffered torture from the suspect after burns were found in the different parts of her body.

On Friday, August 19, the suspect in the killing of Dumantay was arrested in his home in Pamplona, Camarines Sur by the operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group – CamSur.

The suspect identified as Gaspar Madredano Maneja Jr. or known as Jose Francisco Santos went hiding after committing the crime. Before heading to his home, he stayed in a forest somewhere.

The suspect faces multiple charges following the death of Princess Marie Dumantay, the 15-year-old cyclist. He was already turned over to the Bustos Police.

On Sunday, August 21, her body was laid to rest.

Amid the surge of abduction cases in the country, a woman went viral earlier after claiming that she was abducted.

In a viral video, the woman from Biliran whose name was withheld claimed that she was almost kidnapped in Naval, Biliran.

Eventually, she issued a public apology after confessing that the event was fake.

According to her, she did it to get the attention of someone close to her. But she denied that it has something to do with love life.
