Abduction cases are getting rampant in the country nowadays.

One of the most popular is the case of Jovelyn Galleno.

Galleno is a graduating student taking a Bachelor of Science in Criminology, who entered a mall in Palawan but went missing.

Then, reports surfaced that she might have been abducted as per the multicab captured on camera which she boarded.

Previously, another person went missing. The victim was identified as Princess Marie Dumantay, a 15-year-old cyclist from Bulacan.

Days later, the victim was found lifeless in a grassy area at the bypass road in Bustos, Bulacan.

It can be deduced that the victim suffered torture from the suspect after burns were found in the different parts of her body.

Meanwhile, the suspect in the killing of Dumantay was arrested in Pamplona, Camarines Sur. The suspect identified as Gaspar Madredano Maneja Jr. or known as Jose Francisco Santos went hiding after committing the crime.

The suspect will face multiple charges following the death of Princess Marie Dumantay, a 15-year-old cyclist.

According to the authorities, Princess Marie Dumantay was last seen on August 10 boarding the vehicle of the suspect.

“‘Yung huli pong araw na nakita siya, which is August 10, ay nakita po siya ng kaniyang mga kakilala doon sa area kung saan siya madalas na nagbibisikleta na sumamang kusa dito sa suspek at sumakay sa kanyang sasakyan. At doon na-identify ‘yung na-establish nating identity nitong tao na ito,” PNP spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo said.
