PBBM urges netizens to follow FL Liza Araneta Marcos on the social networking site, Facebook

BONGBONG MARCOS – The president of the Republic of the Philippines urged the netizens to follow his wife, First lady Liza Araneta Marcos on the social networking site, Facebook.

Marcos, a lawyer by profession, is the spouse of PBBM.

The two first met in 1989 in New York through mutual friends. At the time, she was working as a lawyer while Bongbong’s family was in exile from the Philippines following the 1986 People Power Revolution.

They got married on 1993 and had three kids including Ilocos Norte’s 1st district representative Sandro Marcos.

As per her profession as a lawyer, she is the founding member of her own firm, M&A Associates.

She also taught law at various universities in the Philippines such as the Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU), Saint Louis University, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, Northwestern University, and Far Eastern University.

During the previous election, she served as a strategist for her husband’s presidential campaign.

When her husband won, she temporarily left her own law firm to fulfill her duties as First Lady.

This month, she will be returning to the academe as she teaches criminal law part-time at West Visayas State University in Iloilo, her father’s home province.

Meanwhile, PBBM took to social media wherein he asked the netizens to follow his wife Liza Araneta Marcos on Facebook.

“Samahan n’yo kaming salubungin sa social media ang aking maybahay na si First Lady Liza Marcos! I-follow ang kanyang opisyal na Facebook page. Maraming salamat sa inyong walang sawang pagmamahal at suporta,” President Marcos wrote in an FB post.

As of press time, the Facebook page of First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos has over 140k followers and more than 96k likes.
