First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos is trending online because of her “belat” photo during the inauguration of PBBM
LIZA ARANETA-MARCOS – The candid “belat” photo of the First Lady has gone viral, garnering mixed reactions from the netizens.
The first lady is a lawyer by profession and is a founding member of her own firm M&A Associates.
She temporarily left her own law firm, in order to fulfill her duties as First Lady.
Prior to that, she taught law at various universities in the Philippines such as the Mariano Marcos State University, Saint Louis University, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, Northwestern University, and Far Eastern University.
Currently, she is making a buzz online after being captured via a photo giving a “belat” to the crowd.
It was taken during the inaugural of her husband, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. held in National Museum on June 30, 2022.
Apparently, the photo was criticized and among those who lambasted her is writer/director/actor Manny Castañeda.

But entertainment writer Joe Barrameda, who’s close to the wife of the newly elected president, shared the truth behind the viral photo.
“Teary-eyed si Liza kahapon… Binigyan siya ni Bongbong ng panyo kaya nagpalakpakan ang mga tao,” he said.
“Yung mga tao doon, parang mga sosyalerang fans. May mga kaibigan siya na parang kinakantiyawan siya. Nag-cheer sa kanya,” he added.
Then, Liza gave a belat as a response to those who are teasing her. That moment was captured, posted online, and went viral.
First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos has yet to issue any statement regarding her viral ‘belat’ photo.

Yes,her gown is maybe expensive but for me she is not wearing it comfortably including her shoes….maybe she could choose a filipiniana gown which would fit her and looks her being elegant with matching clutch bag, handkerchief and a fan……
