On Sunday, August 21- Ninoy Aquino Day, director Darryl Yap took to the social networking site, Facebook wherein he posted “proof” that Aquino praised Mrs. Marcos.

This, was after Ninoy acknowledged being one of the beneficiaries of the Philippine Heart Center which was established during Marcos’s regime.

Aquino thanked Dr. Aventura for being his attending physician when he was confined at the Heart Center due to a heart attack.

After staying in the Philippine Heart Center, Aquino recanted his criticisms against Mrs. Marcos.

“In the past, I’ve been most critical of the First Lady’s project. Now that I’ve seen what she has done here at the Heart Center – I take back all my harsh words – Hoping I do not choke,” he said.

“Mrs. Marcos deserves all the credit for giving our people such an institution like your heart center. It is indeed ironical that one of her bitterest critics would be a beneficiary of her foresight,” he added.

According to Yap, Aquino’s letter could possibly be the concept of his next film after Maid in Malacañang became a blockbuster hit.

Maid in Malacañang is a movie about the last 72 hours of the Marcos family in the Palace.

It stars Cesar Montano as former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr., Diego Loyzaga as President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., Cristine Reyes as Senator Imee Marcos, and Ruffa Gutierrez as Imelda Romualdez Marcos and Ella Cruz as Irene Marcos.

Earlier, Darryl Yap said that he might be doing a sequel of MiM about Ninoy Aquino.

The Aquino family has yet to issue any statement regarding the alleged letter of Ninoy.
