John Arcilla: “Serye lang po walang Personalan”
JOHN ARCILLA – The FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano star revealed that he has been receiving multiple “death threats” as the top-rating series comes to an end.
Ang Probinsyano is an action-drama series based on the 1997 film of the same name starring Fernando Poe Jr.
It first aired on September 28, 2015, and has become the longest-running drama series on Philippine television with more than 1,500 episodes as of posting.
It premieres on Kapamilya Channel, Cine Mo!, Jeepney TV, A2Z and TV5. The series is also streamed online via iWantTFC, TFC IPTV and Kapamilya Online Live. It is also aired internationally through The Filipino Channel on cable and satellite.
It starred some of the famous actors in the country including late actress and FJP’s wife, Susan Roces.
But after almost seven years of airing, the top-rating series will finally air its last episode on Friday, August 12.
The finale episode of Ang Probinsyano is dubbed as “Ang Pambansang Pagtatapos.”
One of the most remarkable characters in the said series is no less than John Arcilla, who plays the role of Renato “Buwitre” Hipolito, the arch-enemy of Cardo Dalisay (Coco Martin).
As the top-rating series comes to an end, John Arcilla revealed that he has been receiving “death threats” because of his character.
Recently, he went to the social media platform, Instagram wherein he opened up about it.

Meanwhile, Mars Ravelo’s Darna will replace FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. It will air on Monday, August 15.
