It has been two weeks since she was last heard on Cristy FerMinute, radio and online program of Radyo Singko and One.PH.

This was after she underwent polyp throat surgery at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Bonifacio Global City last August 15, 2022.

But on Monday, August 29, Cristy Fermin happily returned to Cristy FerMinute after her successful throat surgery.

In the said program, Cristy Fermin revealed that she had a “cancer scare” when the doctor removed the polyp on her throat. In the end, the operation was successful and the polyp was not cancerous.

She thanked the people who prayed for her fast recovery including her talent manager, Dolor Guevarra, and the latter’s niece Dr. Maita Feliciano, the doctor who operated on Cristy.

Watch the video below:

Cristy Fermin was not allowed to talk for two weeks and was told to only consume soft and cold foods like ice cream to speed up her recovery.

She was not even allowed to whisper or speak softly and quietly.

“Meron akong white board na may pen. Meron din ako sarili ko na ipinabili para sa mga personal kong gustong sabihin,” she said.

“Kunwari, tubig pahingi o kaya nagugutom na ako. Isusulat ko na lamang po yun. Napakahirap po,” she said.

Cristy Fermin compared what happened to her to a runner whose feet were amputated.

“Ibang magbiro ang kapalaran. Isipin mo, puhunan ko boses, dun ako nagkaroon ng paghamon,” she said.
