Fermin whose real name is Cristinelli Fermin is a veteran talk show host.

She started her career as a political journalist but soon turned to writing for tabloids, about movie stars and other celebrities.

Her first television appearance was when she became the main host of the weekend showbiz talk show Movie Magazine on GMA Network in 1987.

She also became the host of various programs such as Showbiz Lingo, Cristy Per Minute, S2: Showbiz Sabado, The Buzz and to name a few.

In her program, Showbiz Now Na, Fermin opened up about her current condition which needed immediate attention.

According to her, she has polyps or lumps in her throat that causes her voice to change.

Polyps are tissue growths that most often look like small, flat bumps or tiny mushroom-like stalks. Most polyps are small and less than half an inch wide.

Vocal cord polypectomy is the procedure that a patient needs to undergo in order to remove the polyps in his/her throat.

Fortunately, her condition is not severe but she needs to undergo an operation.

Fermin is thinking about who will substitute her while she’s absent from the said show.

She also thanks those who are still supporting their program.

Apparently, she’s yet to give an update about her operation.
