Valedictorian From Bulacan Receives 60 Certificates, 30 Ribbons, and 24 Medals During Graduation

MECKIA MARI L. VILLANUEVA – A student from Bulacan who graduated as valedictorian received 60 certificates, 30 ribbons, and 24 medals during her graduation.

Villanueva graduated as class valedictorian of the senior high school batch 2022 of Sto. Niño Academy in Bocaue, Bulacan.

Aside from being a valedictorian, she was also the president of the student council.

According to her, she “really love receiving academic validation po through my achievements.”

“Been consistent first honor student since I started studying po, mainly aiming for scholarship po to help my family,” she added.

Her mother is a licensed pharmacist but chose to become a housewife to focus on their family while her father is a card dealer at PAGCOR casino.

Meckia shared in an interview with PEP.ph how come she received such awards and citations.

According to her, she was able to gain the “best in most of the subjects” award which means she earned the highest grade in every subject.

She was also hailed as the best in virtual performance in almost all of her subjects when it comes to visual projects.

At the same time, she’s the “most active” in all her subjects speaking of recitation.

Villanueva garnered the Best in Research Papers and Business Plans and Best Presenter during their defense.

Aside from that, she earned special awards and recognitions for her extracurricular activities, like being the student council president.

Meckia said she developed and is following a study system that worked out for her.

Currently, she’s enrolled at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) with the degree in Bachelor of Science in Biology Major in Medical Biology. She received full scholarship and qualified as a scholar of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
