Here’s the trailer of Maid in Malacañang
MAID IN MALACAÑANG – The trailer of the movie about the last three days of the Marcos family in the Palace has been released.
The Marcos family is a political family and is considered one of the most influential clans in the Philippines.
The beginning of their political career can be traced to the 1925 election of Mariano Marcos, the father of former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. At the time, he was elected as a congressman for the second district of Ilocos Norte.
Followed by the 21-year rule of Ferdinand Marcos which highlights his 14-year dictatorship during Martial Law.
The political career of the Marcoses continues even up to this day with the recent election of Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. as the 17th President of the Republic of the Philippines.
On the other hand, his sister Imee Marcos is serving as a senator.
Meanwhile, the life of the Marcos family will be depicted in the drama-comedy film Maid in Malacañang.
The movie is about the last 72 hours of the Marcos family in the Palace.
It stars Cesar Montano as former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr., Diego Loyzaga as President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., Cristine Reyes as Senator Imee Marcos, and Ruffa Gutierrez as Imelda Romualdez Marcos and Ella Cruz as Irene Marcos.
While those who will portray as house helpers of the Marcos family are Elizabeth Oropesa as Yaya Lucy, Beverly Salviejo as Yaya Biday, and Karla Estrada as Yaya Santa.
Directed by Darryl Yap, its teaser has been released earlier.
