Still Unidentified Suspect Shot Policeman in Cabagan, Isabela
POLICEMAN – A cop was shot while driving his sports utility vehicle (SUV) in Cabagan City, Isabela by a still unidentified suspect.
Daily, there are a lot of unfortunate incidents – some are accidents or circumstances that seem inevitable and were not driven by a hundred percent intention of any party while others were seemingly planned. The incidents under the latter usually happen in the pursuit to bring harm to another person due to various reasons.
Unfortunately, these seemingly-planned incidents to cause harm did not only leave some individuals injured but dead. Their families are left crying in grief for their unexpected loss and justice.
Recently, another family in Cagayan was left seeking justice over the death of their family member, a policeman who was based in Isabela.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Police Corp. Marnix Baquiran was shot in Isabela while he was driving his sports utility vehicle (SUV) along a road in Barangay Ugad. He did not survive the incident.
Baquiran is a resident of Barangay Camasi in Peñablanca, Cagayan. He was assigned at Reina Mercedes Police Station in Isabela. According to Isabela Police Provincial Office, it was past 8:00 o’clock in the morning when a resident of Barangay Ugad found the SUV of the policeman hitting the barrier of the bypass road.
The cop was inside his vehicle and obtained wounds from the incident which led to his death. Based on the initial investigation, the suspect was also aboard an SUV when he shot the vehicle of the victim. The police are already conducting a dragnet operation to catch the suspect and a probe to determine the motive of the suspect. More updates may be posted soon.
