AI-AI DELAS ALAS – Here’s Ai-Ai delas Alas reaction after direk Darryl Yap paid a courtesy call on Quezon City mayor Joy Belmonte.

It can be recalled that there was a big issue between Quezon City mayor Joy Belmonte and controversial director Darryl Yap last month because of the approved resolution of the Quezon City Council to declare Yap and Comedy Queen Ai-Ai delas Alas persona non grata.

This is related to the alleged desecration of the triangular official seal of Quezon City in the campaign video starring Ai-Ai and the direction of Yap. It was filed by former councilor Ivy Lagman, and approved by the Quezon City Council.

In an interview, Ivy Lagman denied that the mayor had anything to do with the Quezon City Council declaring Darryl Yap and Ai-Ai delas Alas as persona non grata. The comedian played Ligaya Delmonte, who is an impersonation of Belmonte in the campaign video.

That campaign video was used for the candidacy of Mike Defensor, Belmonte’s staunch opponent in the mayoral election in Quezon City on May 9, 2022.

Yap and Ai-Ai were not concerned about the council’s action against them. The Kapuso actress still goes home to her home in Quezon City, and she experienced going to a mall without any trouble.

On Tuesday morning, July 26, Darryl Yap shared a photo of him with mayor Joy Belmonte. It was taken at the office of the mayor. It came with a caption, “the seal, the mayor, the director.” His FB post also showed the premiere night schedule of the film ‘Maid in Malacanang’ on July 29 at the SM North EDSA in Quezon City.

In a recent article published on PEP’s website, Ai-ai delas Alas said Director Yap’s courtesy call to Belmonte is not an issue for her.

“Sa 32 years ko sa entertainment industry, nakita ko na ang lahat. Mangyayari pa lang, na-predict ko na. Nothing shocks me anymore…”

“Ang importante, nagkakaintindihan kami ni Direk Darryl…”

“Saka maraming magaganda ang nangyayari ngayon sa buhay ko kaya dedma na lang,” she added.
