Here’s the reaction of Darryl Yap to the “93th” birthday billboard of Imelda Marcos
DARRYL YAP – The famous director reacted to the viral “93th” birthday billboard of former First Lady Imelda Marcos.
Yap is considered one of the most popular directors in the country today.
He is behind the hit movies and independent films such as Jowable, Tililing and to name a few.
He’s also one of the staunch supporters of the UniTeam composed of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., and Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio.
Recently, he went to the social networking site, Facebook wherein he shared his reaction to the viral 93th birthday billboard of former First Lady Imelda Marcos.
Earlier today snaps from an electronic billboard celebrating the 93rd birthday of the former First Lady resurfaced on social media and became viral.
Imelda Romualdez Marcos, the wife of late President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. and the mother of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is celebrating her 93rd birthday today, July 2.
However, instead of 93rd, a LED billboard company put 93th on her birthday. The greeting was accompanied by a photo of Marcos from the film, The Kingmaker.
The Kingmaker is a documentary centering on the controversial political career of Imelda Marcos, the former first lady.
But according to director Darryl Yap, “ganitong uri ng kababawan ang taktika nila mula 1986 hanggang ngayon.”
He added: “palalabasin ang mga tulad ng ganito na mula sa kakampi pero may masangsang na motibo.”
He claimed that 93th was noted on purpose “para magmukhang mangmang ang mga taga-suporta.”
