President Duterte Starts Making Arrangements For Retirement in Davao City

PRESIDENT DUTERTE — The outgoing President has started to make arrangements for his retirement in Davao City once he finishes his term at the end of June, according to one of his closest allies.

Senator Christopher “Bong” Go, said that the President started to pack up and arranged the transfer to his home in Davao City in order to spend his retirement as a private citizen.

Tungkol naman sa ating mahal na Pangulong Duterte, nagsisimula na siyang magligpit ng mga gamit pauwi sa kanilang tahanan sa Davao City. Doon siya mananatili sa kanyang retirement bilang private citizen kapiling ang kanyang pamilya,” he said.

President Duterte’s term is set to end on June 30, 2022, when President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is set to take over.

The President said that he did his best to deliver what he could for the Philippines. He added that the past 6 years were what his best efforts could achieve, apologizing if that was not enough.

Bongbong Marcos was proclaimed as the 17th President of the Philippines, with his running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte as the next vice president.

Meanwhile, the President took time off over the weekend to enjoy exploring the streets of Digos City, Davao del Sur.

A netizen spotted the outgoing President wearing a helmet and riding a three-wheel motorcycle as he went around the streets of Barangay Badiang on Saturday. According to RTVM, the President made the trip past 3:00 pm.
