Isko Moreno is a “trapo” according to Sharon Cuneta
SHARON CUNETA – The Megastar called Manila Mayor Isko Moreno a traditional politician or trapo.
Moreno runs for president alongside his running mate, Doc Willie Ong.
They will go against the tandem of Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Kiko Pangilinan, former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos and Sara Duterte, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative Lito Atienza, Senator Ping Lacson and Tito Sotto and to name a few.
Recently, Moreno together with Ong, Lacson, Sotto, and former Defense Secretary Norberto Gonzales held a press conference at The Peninsula Manila in Makati City.
At one point, Moreno declared that Robredo should back out from the presidential race.
His pronouncement earned reactions from netizens especially supporters of Robredo and among those are no less than Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid and Megastar Sharon Cuneta.
In a sideline interview at the press conference of their upcoming concert titled “Iconic”, the popular singers talked about the call of Moreno to Robredo.
At first, Sharon and Regine are poking fun with Moreno’s call until the Megastar became serious and even called the Manila City mayor a traditional politician or trapo.
“When he was starting, I had a little pride in me of him dahil sa istorya ng buhay niya,” she said.
“But frankly, as the years went by parang nakikita mo yung signs ng pagka-traditional politician,” she added.
Apparently, not everyone was amused by the remarks of Sharon Cuneta.
Isko Moreno has yet to issue any statement with regards to the message of Cuneta and Velasquez.
