Ruffa Gutierrez Allows Daughters To Talk w/ Yilmaz Bektas
RUFFA GUTIERREZ – The actress-beauty queen revealed that her youngest daughter, Venice, has talked with her father, Yilmaz Bektas.
Living a celebrity life, a huge part of the life of actress-beauty queen Ruffa Gutierrez is not much of a secret to the public. She is previously married to a Turkish businessman, Yilmaz Bektas.
It was in 2003 when Yilmaz and Ruffa officially tied the knot. Their marriage was blessed with two (2) daughters – Lorin and Venice. However, their marriage only lasted until 2007.
Ruffa went home to the Philippines after their separation. Initially, “cultural differences” were cited as the reasons behind their split but the actress-beauty queen, later on, claimed that she was hurt emotionally and physically when they were still together.
In 2012, the marriage of Ruffa and Yilmaz was annulled. The actress has the sole custody of their two (2) daughters who have no communication with their father since they came home from Istanbul – except recently for Venice.
Based on a report on Inquirer, Ruffa Gutierrez revealed that Venice and her father, Yilmaz Bektas, have talked over the phone during the Holy Week. She described such scenario as “touching” and “hopeful”.
According to the actress-beauty queen, she never talked ill of Yilmaz in front of Lorin and Venice but when she saw her youngest daughter crying during her phone conversation with her father, she realized that the pain in her daughter’s heart is still there.
“Venice’s personality had always been hard and strong, but when her father said, ‘Hi Venice! How are you?’ She broke down,” Ruffa said.
The actress-beauty queen is hoping that one day her ex-husband and their daughters would be reunited. Only Venice talked with Yilmaz as Lorin is not ready. She is hoping that all the pain in her daughters’ hearts will finally go away when they will see their father.
