Free Housing Beneficiary Expresses Disappointment to Gov’t for Frequent Flooding in Their Area
A free housing beneficiary of NHA has expressed her frustration to the government over frequent flooding.
A Facebook user named Ann Marie has shared the photos of their home submerged in floodwaters due to the effect of Tropical Depression Agaton. The post garnered various reactions online.
In the photos, it can be seen that the free housing projects in Sagrado Villas, Barangay Burgos, Cadiz City in Negros Occidental have been submerged in floodwaters. The woman said that the water is already knee-deep.
Ann Marie said that she is a beneficiary of free housing project of the National Housing Authority. However, she is blaming the government for giving them a free house in a flood-prone area.
The lady netizen reiterated that she and her fellow villagers have reported it to the authorities but no one paid attention to the complaints. She expressed her disappointment over frequent flooding due to heavy rains.
The female citizen also sought the help of various personalities and government offices to address their concern.
