Did Kris Aquino offer this to Joey Marquez?
Veteran showbiz reporter Cristy Fermin revealed that actress-host Kris Aquino asked actor Joey Marquez about marriage years ago.
The relationship between Kris and Joey was quite controversial, especially when they broke up. In a recent episode of Cristy’s Showbiz Now Na YouTube show with Romel Chika and Morly Alinio, they talked about the past relationships of the former presidential daughter.
“Winasak ni Kris Aquino and political career ni Mayor Joey,” Cristy said. At that time, Joey was running for congressman in Makati and his opponent spread the video of Kris’s interview saying negative things against her former boyfriend.
Cristy said that at that time, Joey chose not to pursue the case against Kris but he was prepared with evidence defending his side. The showbiz writer shared that she and Richard Pinlak were hosting Joey’s campaign rallies back then and so they witnessed that conversation over the phone that the actor had with Kris.
Cristy revealed that Kris was calling Joey several times but the latter was ignoring the calls. After the election and Joey did not win, Kris once again called him. According to the showbiz writer, since they got irritated with the frequent call from Kris, she told Joey to just talk to his ex-girlfriend.
“Ang sabi sa kaniya ni Kris, ‘if it would make you happy, today, I’m gonna marry you,’ kasi nga talo siya eh,” Cristy shared adding that the Joey’s reply was, “’Sorry Kris ha, but nobody loves a loser.”
Then, according to Cristy, Joey said to Kris, “Di ba kayo pa ni Mark?” She was referring to Mark Lapid who was the governor of Pampanga at that time. The showbiz writer said that Kris replied with, “no, I made him governor na.”
