It was in November last year when Tupas made headlines after attending a party where illegal drugs were confiscated by anti-narcotics officers.

In the said operation, around P1.5 million worth of suspected drugs were found at a resort in Davao de Oro.

At least 17 people were arrested by the operatives of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) during an anti-drug operation.

Tupas himself admitted in an interview that he indeed attended the party but left early together with his boyfriend and another friend.

Tupas is no longer the information officer of the presidential daughter after he was fired days later.

Meanwhile, his name is making rounds anew after he was mentioned in the statement of Bello.

This was after Bello made a response to Sara Duterte’s team on the mayor’s “boycotting” the vice presidential debate.

Here’s the statement of Walden Bello:

The remarks made by Bello against Tupas prompted him to file a cyber libel complaint.

But according to Bello, the cyberlibel charges filed against him are a “politically motivated move” with a goal of “harassment.”

Earlier, Liloan Mayor Cristina Garcia-Frasco, the spokesperson of Sara Duterte shared her thoughts regarding the “coward” remark of Bello against the presidential daughter.

Contrary to Bello’s remark- as per Garcia-Frasco, Mayor Sara has visited 70 cities, towns, islands, provinces, in less than 2 months, speaking directly to the people, listening to their problems, bringing aid where needed most, and so on and so forth.
