Two lawyers running for president won’t get an endorsement from Duterte according to Lacson
PING LACSON – The senator claimed that two lawyers rooting for the presidential seat will not get an endorsement from President Rodrigo Duterte.
The May 9, 2022 election is fast approaching.
Among those who will run for the highest position in the government are Lacson, Robredo, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, Senator Manny Pacquiao, and former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
Out of the other presidential candidates, only two are lawyers; Robredo and Atty. Jose Montemayor.
But according to Lacson, Duterte won’t endorse any of them.
“Dalawa lang ‘yun abogadong tumatakbo, siguradong hindi naman niya ieendorso,” he said.
The former PNP chief-turned-senator and now a presidential aspirant made the statement following the remark of Duterte that a “decisive, compassionate lawyer is an ideal president of the country.”
On the other hand, Lacson is welcoming all sorts of endorsement as long as “wag lang [mula] sa demonyo.”
Meanwhile, Lacson and his running mate Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III stressed that they are among the most qualified, most competent, and most experienced candidates.
Also running for vice president is Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, Buhay Partylist Representative Lito Atienza, Doc Willie Ong, Senator Kiko Pangilinan and to name a few.
Presently, the candidates for May 9, 2022, national positions are busy with their campaigning in various parts of the country conducting sorties, talks with the locals and to name a few.
