Beauty queen Sandra Lemonon and basketball player Sol Mercado recently took to social media to announce that they’re expecting their first child.
Just a day after revealing her engagement to Sol, Sandra announced that she’s pregnant with her first child.
On Monday, Sandra shared on her Instagram account that she and Sol are expecting a baby “boy” as she posted photos of a gender reveal party they had for their firstborn.
Sandra wrote an appreciation post for Sol, saying that he’s an “amazing life partner/friend and now Papa”. She went on to thank him for “another priceless gift” in helping her become a mother.
In the caption, Sandra shared that she always imagined herself having a little baby boy and for it to actually happen is a “surreal” feeling for her.
“Our baby boy. #KingZ I’ve always imagined myself having a little baby boy. For it to actually happen is a surreal feeling,” Sandra wrote.
Based on her Instagram posts, it was during the gender reveal when the basketball player proposed to her in front of their family and friends.

In a separate post, the beauty queen shared a clip composed of photos wherein the basketball player could be seen kneeling on one knee while putting a ring on her finger.
“Creating life together. We love you Papi,” Sandra wrote.
The couple’s engagement came five months after Sandra first confirmed her relationship with the basketball player last September 2021.
