CEBU CITY – Two vaccinated residents from the Queen City of the South won a brand new car, motorcycle and a house and lot.

In the grand raffle draw held at PaBakuna Bonanza on Tuesday, February 22, a certain Armando Semblante won the grand prize of a house and lot and a motorcycle.

Semblante is a vaccinated resident of Sitio Cabanbanan in Brgy. Sirao.

On the other hand, Kenchi Abrio from Brgy. Pahina San Nicolas has received a new Toyota Vios.

Four other Cebu City residents got P20,000 worth of groceries.

The raffle is an initiative of the Cebu City government to encourage their constituents to get vaccinated.

According to Mayor Rama, it is possible that before or after the election, they will hold another raffle for the residents who will make booster shots.

Cebu City is not the first city in offering prizes for vaccinated constituents.

Las Piñas also offered the same incentive program to people who wanted to be vaccinated against the coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19 Because of the program, the vaccination rate of the city increased.

Meanwhile, the COVID-19 vaccination continues to roll out across the country to combat the rapid increase of coronavirus disease 2019.

Among those who were on the priority list of the COVID-19 vaccination program are medical frontliners, persons with comorbidities, and senior citizens.

Pfizer–BioNTech, Oxford–AstraZeneca, Sinovac, Sputnik V, Janssen, Covaxin, Moderna, Sinopharm BIBP, Sputnik Light and Novavax are some of the vaccines available in the country.

As of February 20, 2022, 134,032,674 total vaccine doses have been administered throughout the country, with 62,506,113 being fully vaccinated, and 9,709,375 booster doses administered.
