Actress Ruffa Gutierrez agrees with Herbert on legalizing divorce in the country
RUFFA GUTIERREZ – The Kapamilya star agreed with Herbert Bautista on legalizing divorce in the Philippines.
The Philippines is one of the sovereign states in the world that still prohibit divorce.
Earlier, Herbert, the actor-turned-politician said that he’s open to supporting the proposed divorce law in the country if given the chance to win the elections this coming May 9.
Herbert is one of the many hopefuls whose rooting for a senatorial slot in the next polls.
On Twitter, his rumored girlfriend Ruffa expressed her opinion about divorce. According to her, she will also support it if it becomes legal in the country.
Meanwhile, Ruffa Gutierrez’s showbiz career started in the year 1980s under BMG Films. In the early 1990s, she became part of German Moreno’s That’s Entertainment variety show.
She then ventured into the world of pageantry. She was crowned Binibining Pilipinas World 1993 and Second Runner-up to Miss World 1993.
Ruffa Gutierrez is the daughter of Eddie and talent manager Annabelle Rama.
In 2003, she married Yilmaz Bektas, Turkish businessman. They had two children, Lorin Gabriella and Venezia Loran. They announced their separation through a joint statement on May 8, 2007.
On the other hand, Herbert Bautista started off as an actor before he ventured into politics.
He previously served as the mayor of Quezon City. Presently, he’s running for senator in the May 9, 2022 elections.
The two are being rumored over a romantic relationship. However, they are yet to confirm or deny whether they are already a couple or not.
