Robredo is gearing up for the highest position in the government this coming May 9, 2022 election.

Together with her runningmate, Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, they will go against the tandem of; former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Doc Willie Ong, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza as well as Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.

The campaign period for national positions started on Tuesday, February 8.

In line with the campaign kick-off, the top presidential and vice-presidential tandems organized proclamation rallies. It was later followed by campaign rallies on different locations.

On Sunday, February 13, Robredo and her team held a campaign rally at the QC Memorial Circle. It was dubbed as “Pink Sunday.”

But according to the LGU of Quezon City, the said event “violated several restrictions that were mutually agreed upon.”

Here’s the official statement of Quezon City LGU:

Based on the report, almost 20,000 people attended the said event.

Meanwhile, the camp of Robredo said the presidential candidate is taking full responsibility as to what has transpired.

“We acknowledge the concerns of the Quezon City Government, extend our thanks for its vigilance, and take full responsibility,” said Barry Gutierrez, spokesperson of Robredo.
