Here’s the message of retired general Antonio Parlade Jr. to AFP over TikTok video of VP Leni Robredo
ANTONIO PARLADE JR. – The retired general gave a message to the Armed Forces of the Philippines after watching the latest TikTok video of Vice President Leni Robredo.
Robredo is gearing up for the highest position in the government this coming May 9, 2022 election.
Together with her runningmate, Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, they will go against the tandem of; former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Doc Willie Ong, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza as well as Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
It was just recently when a TikTok video of the vice president made rounds online.
In the video, she can be seen showing “finger heart”, a gesture that originated in South Korea and became a hit among millennials and K-pop fans.
The video is accompanied by the background song “Minamahal Namin si Leni” with the words “Pipiliin, mamahalin at ipaglalaban ka araw-araw” appearing in the clip.
According to some netizens, the person behind it is Chef Gelo Guison, who’s also behind the “kamehame wave” TikTok video of the vice president. Apparently, there are some Kakampink who disliked the video.
Meanwhile, Antonio Parlade Jr., retired general and former spokesperson of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) has a message to his former colleagues at the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) following the TikTok video of Robredo.
“Maawa tayo sa bayan natin. Wag tayo matawa. AFP ito ba ang gusto nyong maging Commander-in-Chief?” he said.
His comment generated mixed reactions from the netizens.
