“Kris and I say yes,” says the King of Talk, but timing is still unclear
Boy Abunda has confirmed that he and Kris Aquino are eyeing a talk show together, raising hopes of a TV reunion between the King of Talk and the Queen of All Media.
On Friday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on October 30, 2026, the veteran host said he is excited about the possibility of working with Kris on a new project.
“I’m looking forward to what’s going to happen. I’m looking forward to the possibilities because the question now is, ‘Will they be doing a talk show together?’ Kris and I say yes,” Boy said in a mix of English and Filipino.
Still, he admitted that nothing is final yet. “When and how? We don’t know yet,” he said.
The announcement comes fresh from the pair’s reunion on his show. Boy’s two-part interview with Kris is part of his weeklong birthday celebration on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.”
During that interview, Kris admitted that she misses being on television, and said that a return without her “king” would be out of the question.
Earlier this year, Kris also said she missed doing interviews and shared her plans to launch a video podcast.
Boy and Kris were one of local TV’s most famous tandems, and fans have long asked for them to share a screen again. For now, the two have only confirmed the intention, with no network, format or schedule announced.
