In a recent visit to Mawab, Davao de Oro, the Senator, along with his running mate Senate President Tito Sotto answered a few questions from the local media people.

Sen. Ping Lacson was asked about the fear of people when it comes to abuses done by those who are in power. Based on the video that was posted on the Twitter account of The Philippine Star, a reporter asked, “Plano ba ng administrasyon na mag-Martial Law at diktadorya?

The presidential aspirant said that they have no plans such as that. “Definitely, democracy will be preserved, walang Martial Law, walang dictatorship,” Lacson stressed.

He explained that declaring Martial Law will depend on the constitution and there is a limitation. The senator also assured that the Bill of Rights will remain untouched. “Hindi pwedeng mang-aresto ng kahit sino miski may Martial Law,” he added.

Meanwhile, Senator Ping Lacson also had a fiery statement after Vice President Leni Robredo accused him of lacking action on the ground. During an interview on Boy Abunda’s YouTube channel, the Vice President, who is running for president as well, said that Lascon is “Maraming salita pero kulang sa on-the-ground na gawa.”

The Senator reacted to this saying that he does not need publicity in everything that he does for the people. “Ang feeling ko nadidiminish ‘yong tulong ‘pag sinamahan ng epal.”he said.
