The celebrity mom felt that it was a bittersweet moment when she finally took her oath as a US citizen.

Michelle documented this special moment through her vlog, but she could barely contain her emotions as she shared that she wanted to celebrate this milestone with her family.

I’m so emotional right. Oh My God! I wish Anika was here, but she has to go to school and I have to go straight to work [sobs],” she shared. “Gusto ko lang may kasama dito, the family to celebrate [laughs], but uhm we did it. I am a US citizen.

The celebrity mom, who was in the midst of a divorce with her ex-husband Troy Woolfolk, also shared that she was thinking of her daughter during the oath taking.

According to her, her mother was in New Jersey and she wanted her sisters to be in the United States.

My mom is in New Jersey, I just wanted my sisters to be here and also since my mom is already a green card holder and she lives here,” she said. “Naisip ko talaga ‘yung daddy ko, if he was still alive, nagkaroon sana ako ng chance to like petition him.
