On Monday, Gadon slammed Roque for declaring that the late former President Marcos had sinned to the Filipino people.

According to Gadon, Roque should clarify to the Filipino people what “sins” Marcos had committed during his presidency that his son, Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., can’t inherit.

Gadon stressed that late President Marcos “did not commit any sin against his country”, adding that Roque was “gravely mistaken” if he’s referring to the declaration of martial law as a sin.

I have an unsolicited advise to Roque: If he wants to get the Marcos loyalist votes, he must shed off his yellow indoctrinated narratives about President Marcos,” Gadon said.

Gadon also explained that what late President Marcos did in 1972 was to make a strong move in order to defend the country from the dangers posed by the growing communist movement then.

He added that the declaration of martial law in 1972 was supported by Congress and its constitutionality was upheld by the Supreme Court (SC).

Martial law declaration was a constitutional act to defend the integrity and security of the state,” Gadon stressed. “So, what sins of President Marcos is Mr. Roque talking about? He committed none.

Gadon’s statement came after the former Palace spokesman said that Bongbong wasn’t linked in the ill-gotten wealth cases against the Marcoses.
