Here’s the reaction of Rabiya Mateo to claims she staged her fall at MUP 2021
RABIYA MATEO – The beauty queen-turned-actress reacted to claims her fall at Miss Universe Philippines 2021 was “sinadya.”
It was on September 30 when Beatrice Luigi Gomez was hailed as this year’s official representative to Miss Universe which will be held in Israel this coming December 13 (Philippine Time).
During Rabiya’s final walk at the MUP 2021, she accidentally tripped.
Unfortunately, there are some who claimed that she staged her accidental fall to steal the show from the new queen.
To refute such a claim, she debunked it via a recent interview via PEP.ph.
“I heard din na some people would say na, ‘Sinadya niya iyan para pag-usapan. Feeling ko naman, wala namang gustong madapa! Di ba, pabalik na? If gusto ko talagang pag-usapan, probably, madadapa ako noong papunta pa lang ako!” Rabiya Mateo said.
According to the beauty queen, she did not feel embarrassed after the fall. In fact, she even found it funny and appreciated people who actually made a meme out of the scene.
Meanwhile, Beatrice Luigi Gomez is now in Israel and is gearing up for the coronation night of Miss Universe 2021. Andrea Meza of Mexico will crown her successor at the end of the event.
Eighty (80) candidates will fight for the highly coveted Miss Universe crown.
The 70th edition of the pageant will feature the return of Steve Harvey as host and Fox as the official broadcaster of the show after being absent due to the uncertainties related to the previous edition.
Among the judges of MU2021 is actress Marian Rivera.
