Kris Aquino has a message to her critics
KRIS AQUINO – The Queen of All Media took to Instagram on Christmas Day, December wherein she lambasted her critics.
It was just recently when Typhoon Odette, the 15th tropical cyclone for 2021, devastated various parts of the country.
The typhoon wreaks havoc leaving more than 150 casualties as of posting. It is estimated that the damage left is worth millions in infrastructure and agriculture.
To help the typhoon victims, different civic groups, prominent personalities, politicians and even celebrities have organized relief operations.
Among those who expressed willingness to help those in need especially those who were severely affected by the typhoon is no less than actress-host Kris Aquino.
Kris, together with Vice President Leni Robredo, went to Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental to personally visit the victims of the recent typhoon.
But her visit to the typhoon-stricken city was swirled with criticism following her controversial remark.
“Sana maalala niyo kung sino po ang tumulong sa inyo sa oras ng inyong pangangailangan. Dahil po yan sa pagmamahal namin sa lahat ng mga Pilipino,” she said.
Because of her statement, many criticized her.
As a response to her critics, she went to social media anew wherein she defend herself.
“Hindi ko ninakaw yung perang ginamit, hindi pera ng gubyerno, galing sa sarili kong bulsa. Alam ko ring by posting, marami pa ang mae-engganyong tumulong kasi reality na ‘if you don’t post it, it did not happen’,” the television host said.
Meanwhile, it is not clear if Kris Aquino will continue her distribution of relief goods to those affected by the devastation of Typhoon Odette.
