YouTube Channel of Internet Celebrity Rolando Plaza Alias Rastaman Earns Nearly 100k Subscribers In An Instant
The viral internet celebrity Rolando Plaza a.k.a Rastaman has earned nearly 100k subscribers on his YouTube channel.
Over the past few months, Rolando Plaza or popularly known as Rastaman becomes one of the most popular personality in the Philippines after the online community makes him as ‘meme’ on social media.
The internet celebrity earned instant popularity after filing his candidacy as senator in 2018. He even filed a certificate of candidacy for 2022 elections but he has been disqualified after he tested positive for COVID-19.
Rastaman rose to fame after introducing himself as a “Half-human, half zombie” and because of his face tattoos including triangle, 888 or happini infinity sign and ghost-rider motorcycle (Umaapoy, may pakpak).
Some people considered him as a nuisance candidate but the latter is serious when it comes to politics. However, he has no enough amount of cash to fund the expenses during the campaign period.
A few weeks ago, Mr. Plaza has created his own YouTube channel “Rastaman Official”. Several personalities and vloggers including Donnalyn Bartolome have offered to help him out. Bartolome featured Tatay Rolando in her latest vlog last Wednesday (November 10).
Initially, the social media personality’s YouTube channel skyrocketed from 1.99k subscribers to nearly 100k subscribers. He may not able to get millions of votes or win the elections but he has captured the hearts of millions of netizens. Rastaman’s channel continue to grow.
