Misamis Occidental Restaurant Uses Horse to Deliver Goods Amid Oil Price Hike

Misamis Occidental Restaurant is already using horses to deliver the orders of customers amid the oil price hike.

Chopstick Restaurant manager John Wilfred Hatague bought a horse worth P16, 000, which has been used for food delivery. Hatague wants to save and cut the establishment’s expenses amid the consecutive weeks of fuel price increase.

The manager named the horse “Happy” and let his cousin drives the horse and deliver the orders of their customers. The restaurant official said that using horse could help them save money for fuel and it is environment friendly.

Hatague also explained that horse could attract more customers for their horseback delivery. The rider could not let the horse run fast to prevent ruining the food orders. The restaurant is only accepting ‘dry food’ orders for horseback delivery.

The horseback delivery is only meant for short travel because they could not let the horse work ward and get exhausted.

The restaurant is running for years in Oroquieta City and it is a family business. The food business does not require delivery charge for horseback rider delivery.
