Bongbong Marcos is the top pick presidential candidate in the latest SWS survey

BONGBONG MARCOS – The son of former President Ferdinand Marcos lead in the latest presidential survey courtesy of Social Weather Stations (SWS).

The former senator will run for the highest position in the government in the 2022 elections.

He will go against presidential aspirants such as; Vice President Leni Robredo, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, senators Manny Pacquiao, Ping Lacson and Bong Go.

Based on the survey conducted by SWS last October 20-23, Marcos Jr earned 47% votes from the respondents.

On the other hand, VP Leni Robredo landed the second spot with 18% followed by Isko Moreno with 13%, Manny Pacquiao with 9%, Ping Lacson with 5% and Bato dela Rosa who also got 5%.

Dela Rosa earlier withdrew his candidacy for president.

As per the survey, 3% declared that they are undecided. Unfortunately, labor leader Ka Leody De Guzman was not included in the list.

Meanwhile, veteran broadcaster Raffy Tulfo lead in the latest senatorial survey released by Pulse Asia with 68.4% votes.

Following Tulfo on the second spot is Taguig Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano with 59.9%.

Landed on the third place is Sorsogon Gov. Chiz Escudero with 57.3% followed by Antique Rep. Loren Legarda with 50%, and ex-DPWH secretary Mark Villar with 49.9%.

Entering the Magic 12 are Sen. Juan Miguel Zubiri (48.4%), ex-VP Jejomar Binay (46.1%), ex-Senator Jinggoy Estrada (45.4%), Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian (42%), Robin Padilla, Sen. Joel Villanueva (38.1%), and Sen. Risa Hontiveros (37%).

Today marks the last day for the filing of the Certificate of Candidacy for substitute candidates.

In a surprise move, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte withdrew her candidacy for mayor and this time, she’s rooting for a vice-presidential seat alongside Marcos Jr.
