Choking is a blockage of the upper airway by food or other objects, which prevents a person from breathing effectively.
When a choking incident happens, the basic treatment is by performing “Abdominal Thrusts.”
The first step is to stand behind the person who’s choking. Then, place your arms around their waist and bend them forward.
After that, clench 1 fist and place it right above their belly button.
Next, put the other hand on top of your fist and pull sharply inwards and upwards. Repeat this movement up to 5 times.
