Raffy, who’s popularly known as Idol, said his farewell to the show on Friday, October 1.

He also made an important announcement about what will happen to his popular radio program, Wanted sa Radyo, and his participation in Frontline Pilipinas, his newscast program on TV5.

“Saan man po kami makarating, kayo po palagi ay nasa isipan namin. Huwag ho kayong mag-alala, lalo pong lalakas ang Raffy Tulfo in Action, that I promise you. Trust me,” he said as part of his farewell speech.

In his speech, Raffy Tulfo thanked all the executives of TV5, led by TV5 Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan, for the trust given to him.

His colleagues were saddened by the stoppage of Idol in Action but some were glad after receiving luxury items from the veteran broadcaster.

A staff member of the said program received a limited edition watch while a female employee got an expensive bag in recognition of their diligence and faithful service.

Starting October 4, Monday, a Korean drama series, a cartoon show, and Paolo Bediones and Marga Vargas’ morning news program Frontline sa Umaga will be aired in the timeslot vacated by Idol in Action.

Raffy’s candidacy for senator in the 2022 elections is the reason why he will not be seen on television for the time being.

He is expected to file his candidacy in the Comelec soon due to his early farewell to his programs.

The filing of the Certificate of Candidacy (COC) kicked off today, October 1 and it will end on October 8.
