Carpio, who was also the lead convenor of the opposition coalition, said in an interview during the Friday News Forum that Trillanes and Moreno were the two other personalities who agreed to undergo the selection process.

However, Carpio remains hopeful that Robredo will accept the endorsement and join the presidential race.

Theoretically, she can say no [to the nomination] … Of course, I cannot say for certain, but I think I am confident that she will decide correctly, that she will accept the challenge, although that’s from my personal point of view,” Carpio said.

According to Carpio, Robredo was the “overwhelming” choice for the presidential nomination.

Meanwhile, Robredo’s spokesperson Barry Gutierrez reportedly said that the Vice President has transferred her voter registration from Naga to Magarao in Camarines Sur.
