Here’s the reason why Catriona Gray was missing in a pictorial with beauty queens in South Africa according to Pia Wurtzbach
PIA WURTZBACH – The Miss Universe 2015 explained why Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray was missing in a pictorial of beauty queens in South Africa.
Although Pia and Catriona are both Miss Universe titleholders, some pageant fans continue to compare them.
Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray attended the Miss Universe South Africa 2021 pageant held at the Grand West Arena, Cape Town, on October 16 (October 17 in the Philippines).
Pia served as one of the jurors, while Catriona was the backstage host.
Lalela Mswane was crowned Miss Universe South Africa 2021.
A day after the pageant, a pictorial was held that included three Miss Universe titleholders and other beauty queens from South Africa.
Aside from Pia Wurtzbach, the pictorial includes Miss Universe 2020 Andrea Meza and Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi. Also present were Miss World 2014 Rolene Strauss, Miss South Africa 2020 Shudufhadzo Musida, and Lalela who are all South African beauty queens.
The pictorial video was posted on Miss South Africa’s official Instagram account.
In the comments section, Pia explained why Catriona was missing in the pictorial.
According to her, Cat had an early flight at the time that’s why she did not make it to the shoot.
Pia Wurtzbach revealed that the pictorial was a last-minute plan from the Miss Universe organization.
“She’s also a very busy queen doing her work around the world,” she said about Catriona.
