Lauren is the younger sister of actress and Miss World 2013 Megan Young.

Her acting career started when she had a cameo role in the Komiks episode Bampy- a Star Magic 14th Anniversary special.

In 2007, she starred as the young Bernice in the hit movie, One More Chance.

But in 2012, she decided to transfer to GMA Network. Her first project as a Kapuso artist was via Mundo Mo’y Akin alongside Alden Richards and Louise delos Reyes.

In 2015, she played one of the main antagonists in Marimar which was portrayed by her real-life sister Megan.

She last appeared in the defunct series, Contessa (2018) and Hiram Na Ina (2019).

After some time, she decided to take a breather in the industry.

During the Zoom mediacon of Stories From The Heart: Never Say Goodbye, her comeback project, she divulged the reason behind her 2-year hiatus in showbiz.

According to her, one of the reasons why she avoided appearing on TV for almost two years is because she has been a constant victim of body shaming on social media.

The frequent criticism of netizens on her body brought great trauma to her but now she’s at the stage where she has changed her perspective about her weight problem.

For the past two years, Loren has been evasive in doing showbiz stints and she’s grateful to GMA-7 for being determined in offering her projects.

Lauren Young has been living in Subic, Zambales alongside her mom Victoria Young. She said they had planned to renovate their house last year, but due to the pandemic, it did not push through.
